According to Stroud, on January 18, 1909, while he was away at work, an acquaintance of theirs, F. K. "Charlie" Von Dahmer, raped and viciously beat Kitty. On his return, Stroud confronted Charlie and a struggle ensued, resulting in Charlie’s death from a gunshot wound. However, according to police reports from the time, Kitty had continued to engage in prostitution after arriving in Juneau, with Stroud acting as her pimp. Reportedly, Von Dahmer had refused to pay for a session with Kitty and Stroud had come to collect. The reports stated that Stroud had managed to knock Von Dahmer unconscious and then shot him at point blank range. Stroud was later arrested with Von Dahmer’s wallet in his possession.

Although Stroud’s mother Elizabeth retained a lawyer for her son, on August 23, 1909 he was convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to twelve years in the federal penitentiary on Puget Sound’s McNeil Island. (Stroud’s crime was handled in the federal system as Alaska was not yet a state with its own judiciary.) While at McNeil Island, Stroud assaulted a hospital orderly who had reported him to the administration for attempting to obtain narcotics (morphine) through threats and intimidation and also reportedly stabbed a fellow inmate who was involved in the attempt to smuggle the narcotics.

Al Capone’s crimes ranged from murder, tax evasion and prohibition charges.

Machine Gun Kelly’s crimes were prohibition charges, murder and kidnapping.

They all share tax evasion as a charge.

Should I go out of state for college? or stay in state?
ok. here’s the deal….
I will be going to college in 2 years when I graduate high school.I live in Houston Texas. I don’t know for sure what I want to major in but I am interested in being a nurse(I volunteer at hospitals in the medical center). I have been looking into going out of state for college because I am tired of Texas.

I want to move out of state because I want to be independent and I want to explore different places and live in different places. I don’t want to end up like those people who are afraid to leave the place they have lived their entire life.
I will be hopefully graduating college in 6-7 years (counting the two left in high school) so I hope the job market will be better. If I go to college in state I will probably stay in Houston or go to Dallas, I would be going to Dallas for their nursing program and would hopefully get a job at parkland hospital and if I stay in Houston I want to get a job at somewhere in the medical center.( hopefully)
So what do you guys think I should do? Did any of you guys move out of state for college?why?…….Did you stqay in state for college ?why?
Please help me I need advice? any input would be greatly appreciated.
Also If it affects anything….I am home schooled and I have been since 8th grade. I am in the 10th grade now.

Since you know you want to go into nursing, your first consideration should be to see which schools offer the best nursing programs. Unfortunately, fewer people are pursuing nursing. While this creates a great job market opportunity, more and more schools have discontinued their nursing schools due to low attendance. So first research which colleges offer nursing programs.

The big consideration going out of state or staying in-state is that going to a state school in your resident state is cheaper for state residents. Unless you’ve got scholarships, financial aid or are rich, that’s a big deal. Average private and out-out-state tuition costs are about $25,000 to $35,000 for tuition alone. And it usually goes up 7-8% every year. Since you are determined to go out of state, then also consider your travel, moving, and living costs. Think about how you will pay for all that.

Home schooling shouldn’t be a problem in terms of academics if you’ve done well. If you’ve been well-acclimated and exposed to a lot of people in different social situations, you should be fine. If not, it might be a little overwhelming at first. But if you’re someone that can adjust well to new environments, you’ll be in a for a grand adventure.

1st am i wrong, bad, crazy, or somthin. 2nd this will be very long so ill get few answers,im likley 2 repost.?
Ok this will be divided into 3 sections, 1 is my past, 2 is my opinion of the world, 3 is what is happening to me in the now.

My past:
When I was born my mother left my father and i grew up with a step father. At the age of 2 I had a baby sitter who beat me and whos husband sexually abused me which I repressed and later recovered those memories two years ago. for the next few years till I was five I moved to several cities and never acquired a true friend. I landed in redlins California were i first met my dad at the age of 5, we had conflict because he was Pagan and I was christian. Soon after i acquired a tumor in my ear and went through 11 surgeries within the next 6 years. I turned 6 years old and moved to the coast, there I met a long time friend until recent who shared a few of m qualities. my mother divorced my step father for another man and they married within 4-6 months. the son of this new step father sexually abused me, and the step father verbally abused me. at the age of 7 I had my first Psychic vision which would soon lead to endless others. This vision was of pain and horror, i mean it was of a rape. me a 7 year old dreaming of a rape which 2 days later appeared on the news. it was just ****** up so i wont delve into it. the years for 8 to 12 are a blurry because of living with my step father which rid me of happiness and so im not sure what happened then. at 13 I had no enjoyment of life. every night was a constant battle with my psychic visions seeing murders, rapes and horrific mutilations. which have all come true within a matter of months. i developed depression and A.D.D. and my grade dropped to Fs and Ds. the only thing that has kept me from suicide is my fear of what is at the other end of death, and how the few people who love me would feel if i did commit suicide.

my view on life:
To me only 30% of the human population are people. There are the animal and the people and sadly there are more animals than people. There are also 4 moderation’s of evil. there is the lowest level of evil which is contained in people who are arrogant. then there is the neutral amount which is found in god and in regular people. god is neutral because in order to maintain a balance thee must be good and evil, god is everything, god is neutral. then there is pure evil which is contained in demons and sadistic people. lastly the greatest evil which is no evil. if something has no evil to me it is the bane of evil it is the only thing that is worse than evil. so far i know of nothing that has no evil. the population is mindless to me. well most of it, they group things and follow who they are told to follow. what they do not know of they fear and what they do know they resent. the only good to them is what is constant. which is foolish. barely anyone is Truly aware of the world around them, it is when they have thoughts and explore what the true world is, that they become Truly aware. that is when suicide happens. to me there is no bright side of life except for 2 things. there is god and there is love. god is the Devinne creator and maintainer and within him there is love. love is anything that has affection in it or allowance. friendship, permission, care, all of that is love. the rest is evil, lies, senseless action. the quantities of these factors depend on the luck of the draw on you life. that is my basic opinion on life.

my life now:
I am currently either feared or hated by most of the people in the world. i am a goth or so i am told. i have 4 things i care about in the world, 1 is god, 2 is my family, 3 is my individuality, 4 is this girl i have met which i have dreamed about 6 months before i met her and i currently believe her to be my significant other. Yes i know i am a horrible person, i place my views in the way that i am better than others when in truth i am probably a worse person. but my question is… is there something wrong with me or my views and with my given history is there a way that can be explained. thank you so much for reading and i look forward you your answer.

Hi Stephen.

My short answer to your question is yes, there is "something" wrong with you, just as there is something wrong with me and everyone else in this world. I enjoyed reading your question and there is a lot of great stuff in there, but there are a few things I think are problematic that I want to address.

You talk about the population of the world being mindless, and the only good being constant. There is something to the mindlessness that is our day-to-day lives, but I disagree that people think the only good is constant. If history has proven anything, it’s that the only constant is change. Technology and globalization are changing our lives literally every day. The difference between life today and life 10 years, 100 years, or 1,000 years ago is incredible. Whether you think we are changing for the better is debatable, but I would argue that we are changing, and that we’ve adapted well to the changes.

You then talk about the brighter side of life consisting of god and love. No arguments there. However shortly thereafter you proclaim everything else is evil. In my mind this contradicts an earlier statement you make that you don’t know anything that has no evil. I agree with this latter statement of yours. As my first sentence in this answer alludes to - I think there is something wrong, or evil, with all of us, it’s just a matter of to what degree. Evil and goodness are polar opposites, but when you mix elements of each you get just that - elements of each. That’s humanity. Hitler had good inside him. Ghandi had evil inside him. Maybe only a tiny bit in either case, but it was there. Things are almost never black and white, they are almost always shades of grey.

Lastly, you state the 4 things you care about in the world. You’re spot on with the first 3 - god, family and your individuality, but I disagree with the 4th. No person, whether it’s a male or female, should be nearly as important as the first three things you state. Now - notice the first 3 things include your family, and your family is obviously made up of people. For the sake of argument your family should also include close friends. If a person, male or female, becomes part of your "family" then I agree you should care about them. Otherwise I disagree.

Here again we get into shades of grey. You don’t just have 2 groups of people - "family" and non-family. But where people stand on that continuum should determine their importance to you. This girl you speak of - where is she on your continuum? Not where do you want her to be on the continuum, but where is she? How well do you know her? How well does she know you? Is she the only girl you’ve ever felt this way about? Will you feel this way about others in the future? Do you know yourself well enough to truly know she’s the one for you?

Of all the things I look back on in my life with regret - the importance I attached to the opposite sex when I was younger is near the top of the list. When I asked a girl out and she rejected me I questioned whether life was worth living. I’m not sure how, exactly, those girls made me forget everything else that was important in my life, but they did. OK… This is my first serious Pokemon WiFi battling team, so if you could please say what you think about it - and suggestions if you want - I really need some opinions… The team is:

I think it’s a pretty OK team, I have been looking on other teams and moveset guides to find the best or just pretty good moves for my Pokemon, but what do you think?
I’m changing UMBREON with SHUCKLE…

In order by pokemon:

Frst of all, you took out raquaza’s extremespeed which is a necessity for sweeping. Giga impact isn’t reliable.
I’d do Swords dance, extremespeed, flamethrower, EQ

Your Blissey is perfect for stalling, good job =]

Kyogre is perfect, make sure to equip it with either choice scarf or specs

Yeah, replace umbreon; i know it’s a good tank, but what you need is a defense wall; I suggest skarmory, to balance some type issues.

Giratina is pretty good. but I would replace shadow force with calm mind; so rest + sleep talk = dragon pulse/calm mind, and you dont have to worry about dragon pulse being weak to anything, but steel.

jirachi is great, but you might want to replace doom desire, because it’s not reliable. But i understand why you want to keep it, because it is jirachi’s signature move.

Overall, good job 9/10, but not a lot of people like playing with people who use ubers (banned from competitive battling pokemon).

except umbreon has no real attacks, but I see you’re replacing it.

another thing is. many many many people do not want to battle people with legendaries, since they have high stats. and are considered unfair.

Am I my dog's "mate"?
So I own a 5yo. neutered German Shepherd, he is protective, obedient and he knows I’m dominant but the calmer pack member. My sister is like a play mate to him, she is constantly at his level and dog-like wrestling him. Recently he is constantly following me for food, I shared a little too much with him and to remind him out of my space I’ve been demanding him downstairs, out of my way. But for the last week when he is tired he hops onto my bed then snuggles really close and nibbles my hair and back while groaning…He has been doing this since he was a pup but instead of seconds it lasts for minutes and he is doing it constantly. He did do it to my sister but she would have to ask by putting her head between his paws…Last night I was minding my own buisness while he was grooming me thoroughly softly for ages, then I turned and rubbed his ear and he moaned really loud. So…What is this?! Lol.

Hes just enjoying getting rubbed when my g/f or I rub my goldens ears her also makes a moan.. Its just a dog they got a mind of there own
